Question: You have been characterized as being an expressionist, sometimes a pop-artist. Composition and cropping in your works is sometimes like in a cartoon strip. In many of your works I can sense the glamour of positive and enjoyable women in the 30's/40's nightclubs. Sometimes at the background you can see beautiful art-deco-kind objects. What is your art really?

Answer: I use all the knowledge I have, of how old masters solved their technical and compositional problems. I add my new tiny brick on that pile of developement. Anyway, I want that from my works you can see that they represent 3rd millenium. It can be seen from painting technique, composition and cropping.

Question: So the woman in your works is actually like a living characeter herself?

Answer: In my works the woman looks lonely but she is proud and independent at the same time. Only the most essential elements of her existence are left in the work. Harmony exists. She is in balance with herself. If she dances, she doesn't show up, rather she dances for enjoyment. That makes her look spontaneous.Question: Are women subjects in your art also in the future?
Answer: Absolutely.
